Speaking up, out and beyond – a yoga workshop
In this two-and-a-half-hour workshop you will learn about voice – from how producing sound is a full bodied experiece, to how yoga philosophy can help us use voice with presence and meaning; you’ll deepen your understanding of the unique qualities of you own voice and through practice, use breath to develop a freedom in the body to express yourself.
Sharing her long experience in music and yoga, Phoebe will guide you through:
- A short talk on how yoga can help the voice
- Vocal exercises incorporating specific asana (postures)
- Breath work (pranayama)
- A tailored and slow-paced chakra based practice and yoga nidri (meditation)
Whether you are seeking to develop your singing voice, improve your speaking presence, build your confidence or to simply have more meaningful conversations – everyone is welcome.
